Abstract: Two surveys were designed and carried out in order to understand what citizens in Portugal and Spain think about corruption and the similarities and differences in their perceptions and attitudes towards the phenomenon. A unified and harmonised database of the questions and items used in these two surveys is available here in two formats, xlsx (Excel) and sav (SPSS). The first one, carried out in Portugal, was developed in the scope of the EPOCA project under the coordination of ICS-ULisboa and with FCT funding PTDC/CPO CPO/28316/2017). The second was carried out in Spain under the coordination of the University of Murcia and with funding from the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF). A downloadable pdf file with a codebook of all the items and questions used, their scales, and harmonised analysis codes (in Portuguese and Spanish) is also available.
